Quality of our products is and has always been one of Dropi's core principles. We buy our cod liver directly from local fishermen, all fresh until bottled and never boiled. Our products don't contain any synthetic vitamins and are all our raw material bought directly from local fishermen.
The whole process is shorter than today's industrially produced cod liver oil. We use alow temperature, below 42°C, in the process to maintain all the natural properties of the oil. Our production is dependent on nature, e.g. weather, circumstances at the Westfjords fishing grounds and fish population.
Dropi cod liver oil is of the highest quality, made from very fresh liver, gently processed at low temperatures. Our quality standards are according to EU directives. The Westfjords are declared as an industrial free zone where all fishing grounds are sustainable. Since the very beginning, we have worked in close cooperation with Matís, Icelandic Food and Biotech R&D (see video below).
Our production plant only runs on green renewable energy.
